This is the last thing I'm going to say on this subject: No one said I only read ONE thing on Kaufman. I was just trying to politely spread some truth about the "Clifton" myth. Evidently, you're one of those individuals that wants to start & CONTINUE some sort of silly "Internet Fight". Well, I'm not interested. You feel Zmuda's book was trash & inaccurate. I'm just glad some people are actually reading the books and not getting all the information they have off the internet. I also disliked some of Zumuda's book. but it did give insight behind the scenes that nobody else has insight on. I mean the Whole Mr.X thing for example.. classic..

Yes, I am sure every 12 year old all across the nation were mesmerized by this little performance. How easily a child could pick up on the Vegas parody. Kaufman had no respect for the audience and therefore no appreciation of his fan base.
I think it says it all when an entertainer can bore a group of Muppets!! How often was he asked back I wonder...ZERO??

Even though Andy Kaufman was an Anti-Humor comedian who never liked being himself, I don't think it was hard for Jim Henson and the guys to get him. They delt with Peter Sellers and he was a guy who was always in chatacter. "There used to be a me, but I had it surgacly removed" LOL for people who's seen the season 2 Peter Sellers episode of The Muppet Show, you know what I'm talking about. LOL ;)_Eric
