| M is otherwise known as Robin Scott who started off as a folky acoustic style song writer of the early seventies. The guy I reckon you are thinking of would be Mark Mothersbaugh who formed Devo with Jerry Casale and Bob Lewis. Devo seemed to have started off that commandeering male vocal style which was much copied during the New Wave era from 1977 to 1984. A great example would be Men Without Hats - Safety Dance or Reflex - Politics of Dancing. Check em out! |
