It's a very conservative way for that time. Sorry, the're some other filmakers that already make it in the 2o's or 30's. And also dont forget about the social and political context of Maya's films...second WW, a lot of people are dying meanwile Deren is dancing and dreaming...very existencialisty!!!

This is absolutely mesmerizing... The weaving scene in particular is hypnotic. I recommend finding different music to play while watching this. The first Deren work I saw was "Meshes of the Aternoon" but I like this better.

Me sabe muy mal ser tan grosero, pero quien dice que esto es arte?
El artista es ese que hace algo que nadie o casi nadie puede igualar, es alguien que crea OBRAS que transmiten un sinfin de emociones, sentimientos e irradian ARTE! si quieres puedes mirar la definicion de ARTE en wikipedia en vez de mirar biografias de frikis que se dedican a engañar a la gente diciendo que lo que hacen es arte.
