Weckl would like to know where you get all your vast knowledge of drumming from. Is it from all those "peers" you claim exist that you keep eluding every time I bring them up or no?
He would also like to know why you can't decipher the fact that "music" is implied in that he's a musician; therefore why do we have to explain every little vernacular to you? Oh yes, because you're not as intelligible as you perceive yourself. My bad! LOL

Does it really matter if his style has changed much in the last 20 years? How does that pertain to him being a fantastic musician? When you are at the level he is, I don't think there is much room to modify one's ability. And by attacking the title "A Natural Evolution" it makes it appear as though you might have some deep seeded jealousy issues.

Good God, this just gets funnier and funnier. I know I must be in a Weckl forum when the comments are all the same, regardless of the poster.
1. I didn't name the DVD, he did.
2. When you're at what level exactly? What does that even mean? When a peer of mine told Ed Blackwell he'd be playing drums for 25 years, Blackwell's response was "so you're just getting started."

MY FINAL POST IN THIS WECKL FORUM!!!
I've decided to make you all happy, and give you the satisfaction you crave. You have made me see the light! After again listening to this Weckl clip I now realize that he is the most amazing drummer ever. Possibly the best musician ever. Since I cannot even remotely hope to achieve his level of technical proficiency, I am rightfully in awe. When I next see Dave, I may even bow in front of him, and beg forgiveness. I can only hope to be touched by his light.

1.Why are you trashing something as superficial as a title of a DVD? That has no bearing on musical talent whatsoever.
2.You know damn well what it means. There is always a learning curve with anything-first starting out you learn an immense amount-as you progress it takes more time to learn the same amount.
3.Trashing my intelligence has nothing to do with this at all. I'm saying if you have nothing to piss about but some stupid title on a DVD, maybe you should examine why you are so upset.

Not once did I ever say Weckl is "the most amazing drummer ever". I said he's fantastic - so are many other drummers. Honestly though, relax - you are way too uptight.

Ive seen solos from both.. Neil Peart is overrated and buddy rich is great..

Arrogant!? Is he hell! I went to his clinic on the 17th of November in Glasgow and he was nowhere near arrogant. I actually met him at the end and spoke to him. He wasn't arrogant. However I agree with you, he is a great drummer!
