Didn't Paez eventually go on to challenge Whitaker (and lose)? It's been so long I can't remember clearly. I know we all hated him because he was a showboat, but he did get pretty far in his career.

Paez was a great fighter and entertaining to watch . HE gave some of the best fighters in his class a hard time but usually lost against the greats. His son sucks bad.

I agree entirely MMA and UFC use brawlers moderate but well schooled boxers always do well in ufc. They are taught to twist the fist on impact and twist the hips using floor as the base. As for Paez jr he should retire and watch videos of class boxers like his dad.

yes they're skilled, but if i want to see true masters of hand to hand combat i watch boxing. ufc is good for the brawls but im not into JJ or wrestling and not many mma guys are fluid with the punches.
