For years available only as a rare soundtrack LP, here at last is the original hi-fi album CD audio, synched to the B &W kinescope of this historic broadcast. Noel Coward (fresh from his triumph in Las Vegas) performs a stunning rendition of his signature tune, MAD DOGS AND ENGLISHMEN.

Remember My Grandad coming round to our (parents) house, he had been around quite often around that time, he was obviously depressed so my dad offered him a video, "It's Blithe Spirit dad, it's really good, about this guy who's wife dies and her ghost comes back visiting him, making sure he doesn't see someone else".
Of course, my Grandad had been depressed cause his wife, my nan, my dad's mum had died a couple of weeks before. That's British comedy.
