Thank you for this civil chat on 2 great Indic languages, Punjabi & Sindhi. Both the languages can find their roots in Vedic (Sanskrit) & influences from other languages such as Arabic & Farsi. I believe 2 very important tenets have to be met for a language to be called a language. 1, it must have its own grammar & 2, its own original words. Surprisingly, Urdu fails to meet these 2 requirements. It does not have its own original words and grammar. Thanks again.

so if you can call someone sain out of sheer love and respect then why cant punjabis call someone who they respect and love as sain. I dont see anything wrong in it. Dr.SaeedM Ji, the inital couplets/stanzas are of Khawaja Farid's but the "Mai Ni" nazam is one of the most famous Kafi by by Madhu Laal Hussain. He wrote this over 400 years before Khawaj Farid. Both are indeed great poets in their own right and our heritage that we are all very proud of.
