People talk about how good Shah Abdul Karim is but Shofiqun Nur for me was class and probably one of the best Bauls if not of his time but of the 20th century.
He had a unique voice. Unlike others, his was a trained voice. He is inimitable and irreplaceable. A great loss to Bangladeshi music.I have always listened to his music but had never seen him before.
