It's just the ones who only hear ONE song or only listen to ONE album and pretend to love the band that annoy me. Most of the people in my school that "like" Coldplay can't even name their first 2 albums and have no interest in even listening to them.

It is annoying how many people seem to now "love" KOL because of songs like Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, when they may not have heard much of their other (and better) stuff. A friend of mine played Red Morning Light in my college common room the other week and one girl, an apparent "fan" of KOL, had never even heard the song. That sums it all up for me with the newer fans, they just don't know much about them.

That's exactly my point as well. I played coldplays song Yellow and this suposed fan was like who's that by.
I said "ergh Coldplay..."
And she said "Really?"
That is one of Coldplay's best songs and she had never heard of it.
Then to bring the conversation back to something she might know I said
"Chris is soooo hot, but too old for me (sigh)"
and she said "Who's Chris?"
I just walked away, it pisses me off soooo much wen this kind of thing happens, They should learn mre b4 they claim FAN

You know what's annoying? When I hear this same mumbo jumbo about how if people first heard "sex on fire" they aren't true fans - or something along those lines. Oh, who cares!
