| Agree with baloo. Art is definitely often a reflection of society. Hip hop is no different. Things are more structured, material, and "mc donalised" than they have ever been today. It only makes sense that our mainstream music would come out this way as well. I am glad that I was a teenager in the 90s and got to listen to this beautiful form of hip hop everyday. More genuine art and music still exists today, you just have to dig deeper to find it. |
