I think it depends on where you live. Cause I'm a second-generation immigrant, my boyfriend is an immigrant, and where I am for the moment in California is right next to a big Thai/Lao community, and in Los Angeles there's an even huuuuuger one, the songkram celebration down there is huge~ There are also big populations in Kentucky and New York
