I would point out that because our country is infact a democracy and not fascist in any way, the people in this country picked Obama and all the other senators that voted to pass the bill. You can't blame Bruce; you have to blame everyone. Bruce also didn't tell Barack to vote the way he did, and we don't know if he agrees with Obama or not on this issue. It's not a democracy; it's a constitutional republic. It's supposed to be governed by the rule of law, not majority opinion. The binding law is the Constitution. Outside of those bounds, the federal gov't has no authority to act. Such actions are rogue and illegitimate.
You cannot "vote" on taking people's rights away. You cannot "vote" on things for which you have no legal authority.
