This live performance is incomparably bad to the one on the CD. Does he really think this is good? I get the impression the musicians are just kind of like "WTF?". In general I find Dylan is one of the worst at performing his own songs live. Obviously he is aware of what sounds good since his recordings show him to be the greatest at what he does.

Live 66 and Live 64 from the bootleg series are amazing and some of the stuff out does his recorded stuff, Check out Its alright ma (I'm only bleeding) don't look back outtake on youtube, I found it to be mind blowing and utterly amazing. But back on subject the CD version is good, with a darker and being lost feel to it. This version is funky and fun likes hes protesting about being in love, shouting to the hills, maybe a little lost still but not a slave to it.

This is just a ridiculously good performance. The band is hot, Dylan is scalding, and whoever directed it knows exactly what they are doing. For those of you think that the later Dylan stuff may have lost it, well, check THIS out! Yikes! It's awesome!

I've been a fan since the 60s, and Time Out Of Mind blew my socks off. Cold Irons Bound is so hypnotic, with the drum rhythm and 3 guitars, not to mention the emotion of the vocals. Dylan at his best.

"Time Out Of Mind" is one of my all-time favorite albums. In fact, I bought it at the same time that my father died of cancer. Even though this record is about the fragility of life, this record actually got me through that difficult period in my life.
