The first Lucia I ever heard was in a scratchy recording of Deutekom with Pavarotti. I was mesmerized. Thanks to this woman I was awakened to the beauty of bel canto.

One of the first LP's (yes LP"S!) I ever bought at 13 was La Deurekom doing cloratura arias sometimes her coloratura was a bit strange with almost a yodelling tone to it,still great Queen of the Night,Abigaille,Norma just to name a few thing she excelled in.

Qué voz más alucinante, no me canso de decirlo ni de escucharla. Deutekom está por encima de todas. Decidme si hay otras voces de estas características tanto en sopranos como en otras tesituras. Es la acróbata del canto. Una Pasada. Bravaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
