i agree. evrybody should try to stick to their roots n better the music not worsen it. black gospel is like the only original gospel, but theres spanish gospel (mainly) or MUSICA CHRISTIANA as it is called. n other languages. n we shouldnt get stingy about our roots, maybe share, n mix, alot of rap n r&b also takes from other cultures as well. REAL music is REAL music so its all good.

Actually, all American music (except indigenous Native American) is derived from African-American Gospel... this includes jazz, r&b, soul, blues, rock, country, pop, even all the way to techno (take any college music class- they will tell you). All American music originated from African American music.
This being said, I am glad that blacks created this music, but I don't think only blacks should be the ones creating it. People should just recognize where it comes from.
