Beautifully put...you can't not love this man! Sure he had his flaws (major ones, in terms of technique) but the personality, the character of the voice...his personality and character...he was the greatest Itlain lyric tenor of all time...better than Gigli. YES, I SAID THAT.

I am a big Pavarotti fan so I am probably sometimes too subjective on him, but di Stefano was the first tenor whose certain interpretation I liked more or as Pavarotti's. He is truly a great artist.
