Since the end of apartheid, thousands of white South Africans have been forced into poverty. They blame the government's positive discrimination policies, which favour black employees.
Twelve years ago, Afrikaners like Betsie Dreyer lived a privileged and cocooned life. Now, many are dependent on charity handouts. "We are fighting all the time to survive." The government is determined to see the workforce appropriately reflect the population. It gives black people priority in employment, sets 'black quotas' for businesses and favours companies owned by black people. But critics accuse the government of neglecting its responsibility to white citizens. As union rep Kallie Kriel states: "It's ironic that a government that fought racial laws is now doing exactly the same thing."

Atlas shrugged and The Capitalist Nigger would help you understand some socio economic factors and cultural persuations which have given rise to the situation in Africa as it is today. This can be broadened by a few good history books and you pulling your head out of your arse.

Alright guys before you believe everything you hear first try to analyze and then research. I havent performed any researches yet but a conclusion i've derived from this vid is as so. YES there's an increasing problem of racism and descrimination in S.A. and yes there are more blacks rising into the middle class, but hello, she clearly stated 1000 blacks. Whats 1000 to approximetly 1000000 people in S.A. And they're not rising any higher than middle class so come on. This exaggerates the truth.

Yes. This is sad. I agree. I am white a 31 year old South African but successful in my career. For every white South African living in poverty there is 5 or 8 non-white people living in poverty. I think Employment Equity needs to be stopped asap and then it's fair game to anyone, black, white, coloured or whatever race to get the job. It should be a free and just job market, not a race-before-skill policy. We are bleeding talent, white and non-white everyday. Skills-shortage=Non-Growth.
