Why can't rap be like this again?
I think NWA was one of the best and worst things to happen to hip hop because while it was real, edgy, and controversial it was also the progenitor of the thug/gangster shit. Which was perverted by the industry into trash like soulja boy and lil wayne.
And crap like that has seemingly won out in the mainstream over real knowledge like De La Soul.
But better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all, and i love this!
