Following the death of rebel leader Alfredo Reinado during a failed coup we bring back an exclusive interview and profile of him. In it, he explains why he turned against the government.
Reinado was the respected police commander who turned into East Timor's most wanted man. When security forces shot dead anti-government protestors last March, Reinado attacked rival troops. "I had to get out there and stop them", he reasons. "I had to defend the people". Claiming he would never receive a fair trial, he went on the run.

the sad truth about East Timor ,the little people are always on pick up the scrap,crumbs off the table.this is no difference to Iraqi,a fight between superpowers for oil reserves,for theirs greediness and hunger for power .
insurgents or terrorists as westerners call it give rise to people like Alfredo Reinado or like him,fighting for theirs right and existence.
as long as foreign troops still there ,it is going to be a long bitter war.
