From my own observations, whenever Blue Monday was lame live, it was because it was hard to duplicate the electronic beats in those days, plus Barney sometime couldn't decide which voice pitch to sing. The more recent live performances are much better and Barney has finally decided to stick with the studio voice pitch.

I saw New Order in L.A. in 1983 at the ripe ole' age of 16---The story goes that I was spending the night at a friends house but instead we drove with a car full of friends from Palm Springs to LA. Probably one of the most fun concerts I had ever been to! It was only the third US show they had done! I told my mom that story about 20 years later! She laughed, but now I have a teenage daughter of my own--She just goes to Jonas Brothers concerts:-/..Boy have times changed....
