In 2005 I went to Lisbon to see Florez in La Donna del Lago. When I arrived at the theatre Florez was replaced because is was not feeling well. Replaced by Rockwell Blake. It was one of the best experiences in opera. Today I thank God for that replacement. Bravo Rockwell...

Thank you for this comment. I am sick of reading peoples negetive comments about Rockwell. He is simply the best Rossini ever. (lucky for you to hear him in this opera....that is almost never staged)

Lovely!!! I'm quite impressed because I don't rememeber I'd heard Tenor arias like this. It's full of coloratura and for one second it rather sounds like a Soprano aria... I love it... Is there any other release with another Tenor? Do you guys know about other Tenor arias that sound like this?

Matteuzzi, Kunde, Florez... ma Blake oltre la voce e la tecnica magistrale vi mette l'anima. La Scala esplose anni fa dopo quest'aria dalla Donna del Lago diretta da Muti con la Anderson e la regia di Herzog.
