I can agree, even thought some of the oldest records of this dance show canes, that is all I read, so that is all that I will even use besides the other what was called clappers (zills). Most of the time I just dance, so I really feel you on the floor work, and I never do veil, wings, sword, or snake, they are not the original. I think it is better with nothing or zills.

That's a comment of two years ago,now i've been in egypt and studied with egyptian masters, i think the egyptian skill is the most difficult and manifique ,and her emotion is the most sensitive!!!i love egyptian dance!!!
