in schools it is sooo hard to do shows such as this which really annoys me!
I refuse to do schools at show cos they just end being shit with the production team of teachers at my school!
I prefer to shows outside of school- I did this as a Shark with one of the largest theatre companies in my area! It was amazing!

We did this in HS ... it was a pretty good production, if I say so myself ... although the music was somewhat of a challenge for the pit orchestra.

yeah, exactly I think some parts need to be played by a more experienced musician!
You need REALLY good singers and dancers for it too with the high notes for Maria and the dance routines! Our choreographer had toured around the UK with this show so knew it inside out!

I love the way they are dancing not fighting! Thanks for all these posts, they've been a great help to me. I am playing in the orchestra for a one-off performance next week and as of yet- no rehearsals! So this is a great way for me to get to know them.

stupido! this is based on romeo and juliet..for those of youse not familar wit da bard..bernstein composed this masterpiece in the early sixties..it is a fantastic dancing piece to behold..
