| I saw this years ago and believe the caribou had been wounded while being chased by wolves only to run right into mama griz. She smelled the blood or prob. never would have went after a bull in the first place. Thats why he didn't just outrun her. Watch him lift her right up in the air with his neck muscles-very strong. | BULLSHIT a sow grizzly does not weigh 600-700 lbs more 200-400 lbs. Boars do not weigh 200 lbs, the largest grizzlies (size and weight vary greatly according to geographical location) are the coastal Alaskan's and it is rare for any to exceed 1000lbs. A kodiak does exceed 1000lbs with the polar ranging heavier still. That 2500lbs you mention was a record male Kodiak. |
