To-mera are in a completely different league than night wish, particularly, their musicians are on a different level while their singers are debatable. To-mera is jazz fueled progressive, at least fifty times better, and more complex of a taste than symphonic metal(rock opera). Nightwish sell better because they are simplers. As Matthias ekhlund says, theres no money in jazz.

Hey buddy, I was a Nightwish-fan in the Tarja Turunen-time. Sometimes I listen their albums, Oceanborn and Once can named a little more complex, then Evanescence, but Nightwish is far behind To-Mera in complexity. Evanescence-Nightwish-To-Mera: abacus - Commodore 64 - Pentium 4 :-D In To-Mera songs the chorus is rare, for example.

I'm sorry, that video can be deleted :-( I was watching the " I and I" video on Youtube, but I don't find it. Julia was not singing in that song, she became later the singer.

I love this band and this song in particular.
I cant help but point out that she sounds exactly(and convincingly) like Amy Lee.
I think that would be the only reason this band would get ripped on. Kinda like how critics tore apart Symphony X for trying to be Dream Theater(I disagree, but..).
Amazing band! I just hope she tries to add diversity in her singing to help separate the Amy Lee misconception.

Love this song - love this band. True about Julie sounding like Amy, but I can still hear the difference.
With that said, any female vocalist singing gothic themes is going to sound similar.

Give me a million thumbs down, but nothing changes the fact that she will have to do something to break out of Amy Lee's shadow.
I love To-Mera and i dont really like the nu-metal Evanescence thing. But i gotta give em credit, Amy Lee was there first.
And as far as Julie being better than Amy. I really really want to say she blows Amy out of the water(i don't like evanescence), but i cant distinguish between the two at all.

They're more like a power metal version of Meshuggah with influences from (Simmone era) Epica and (Tarja era) Nightwish.

why would she need to break out of amy lee's shadow when evanescence is a radio rock band that everyone's heard before, and to mera is an unknown prog metal band? There's kind of a huge difference there haha. I would doubt the fact that to mera ever could be considered to be in evanescences' shadow. a better band cannot be in a radio band's shadow.

When a better band retains characteristics in areas that are very very very painfully similar(almost identical) to that of a radio rock band, then yeah... id stick to, "break out of amy lee's shadow".
One could go so far as to say that she is trying to capitalize off of Lee's popularity, but even i don't believe that.
Asserting your individuality as a band in the music world is praised, while perpetuating tired habits is shunned.
Constructive criticism never hurt anybody.

Holy mother of love, I love this song now. And what's up with comparing them to a bunch of bands like Epica, Nightwish, and Evanescence? I mean, sure, the lead vocalist looks like the love-child of Tarja Turunen and Amy Lee and sings like Simone Simons, but that's all, they are their own band.

Ah, but see, it would only be if To-Mera became as mainstream as Evanescence that they'd be in Evanescence's shadow. As it is, To-Mera is nigh unheard of, and most people who listen to To-Mera wouldn't make the connection between the two, as they try to stay away from Evanescence.
