These ladies are close to perfection! Söderström is sixtyfive years old and still has an incredible vocal agility. The piece is wonderful and von Stade and Battle impeccable.

This was recorded in 1983, Soderstrom was not yet 65 years old? She was born in 1927 which had her something like 56 years old and not 65!

Where did you get this video? I saw this same trio of fabulous singers perform the entire Rosenkavalier in Cleveland Ohio in the 1980s. I thought it was the best cast for this ever, the blend of voices was incredible!! I didn't know they had ever performed any of it together elsewhere.

Stunning singing. Unusual lapse of style for Kathy, though. This gown looks like a night slip. Nonetheless, she is sublime, and so are von Stade and Söderström.
