Major labels? There is nothing inately wrong with a record label being high profile. They are the same is other labels, just more successful. The only thing that's wrong with some major labels is that they ask the artist to dumb down and censor the music. But once your high profile enough to get signed to one, it doesn't matter.

are you kidding me??it wasnt so long ago that they wouldnt even acknowledge punk bands except shit like the sex pistols. because it was too politcal. and when you have big monopoly controled media as we have now, and you see this band that spoke against them. now being paid by them well it is disappointing. punk was never about profit. but when you have a chance listen to the DKs"mtv get off the air"!! look closely at who supports those bands and stations you watch. and what they own!they own U!

Punk's not about profit. Bad Religion makes music they like playing and think sounds good. MTV and shitty music would not be in the mainstream if NOONE listened to it. That's why I said there's nothing inherently wrong with it. If everybody listened to good music it wouldn't be the same boring nonsense on there. Blame the people who listen to shit like Rihanna not the people who capitalize on that.
I love the Dead Kennedys but the song should be "Stop listening to shitty music."
