| 1. It's Brinstar. It's an uneven and easily broken apart stage where a random raptor could hit something you don't want it to and leave him wide open or cause him to randomly fall of the edge into the lava which destroys fast fallers. The stage is bad enough for Falcon as is, and good for Peach, hence the counterpick. |

| 2. It's Peach. But not just Peach, the best peach. A crouch cancelled raptor means that you are about to be down smashed a lot. It's much smarter to rely on well spaced aerials than risking a boost and being punished. |

| Also.... it's peach, meaning she can't be combo'd that well from the raptor boost. She goes to high for the nair and at low percent and the uair doesnt have enough hitstun to combo (at low percent). And when she does get into the percentage where uairs will combo she goes so high from the raptor boost youll only be able to reach with a full jump uair, which you wont be able to follow up if they DI away |
