In response to all the looney comments: Look people, this is satire. No one truly believes that South Africans were/are any different to any other nationality. This song was simply a response to the South African policy of Apartheid. Please, bear this in mind 'BEFORE' you post a comment. And for the record, if anyone wrote a similar song about the Mugabe regime, I would be ok with that too.

I do remember a bank commercial using vaguely Spitting Image-like puppets, though they weren't officially "Spitting Image" ones.
The only ad I know of which featured actual Spitting Image puppets was the Carlsburg lager commercial, which had the "Euro-vulsion Song Contest: searching for the worst song in Europe" (which Britan wins, of course, with "the Chicken Song"...)

Absolute brilliance, Haven't seen this since it forst aired on Spitting Image. I bought the 12" single "The Chicken Song" only because this was on the B side. Classic stuff. Oh, aye and too all you folk out there who are offended by this go stick 2 fingers up yer arse, you need to loosen up a bit.

I don't think I understood the concept of racism when I was five, but I remember in all honesty thinking that there was something shocking about this song when I owned the single. Of course, I had no idea what apartheid was. Besides, I left my copy by the back window in my mum's car and it went flower-pot shaped.
