Well, can't please everyone I guess. But I personally impressed. It's rare to find a singer with such versatility, power and passion in a single singer. She can sing Soprano AND Mezzo-Soprano. To be honest I find the writing to be mediocre. Riccardo Broschi (Farinelli's brother) was too dependant on Carlo's voice and wrote his music more to showcase his voice rather then music for artistic value. I'm surprised Cecila and the orchestra give a sincere and strong performance to a mediocre piece

Son Qual Nave was not wrote for Farinelli. If you're going to make proclamations about a composer acctually get your history right rather than following a film, which is historically ridiculous; Farinelli and Broschi were nowhere near that dependant on each other, there was periods of years when they didn't work together.

I agree. But I wasn't talking about whether or not she was exciting (which many, many people found her to be), just that her voice shows the difference between a "covered" sound and a non-covered tone.

J'apprécie énormément Cécilia Bartoli, mais elle m'a largement déçu sur ce chant, interprété bien trop lourdement, de manière beaucoup trop grasse. J'aurai aimé une plus grande légèreté. Sans doute n'est-ce pas là son repertoire...
