I don't give a shit who's the fastest... this that or the other. I am not even the guy who know the most about drums.... all I know is that there is no one else as beautiful on the drums as Dave Weckl, the most complete, the one bulshits the least. I am sick of reading "ha, but XYZ is faster"

I am not most well informed drummer in the world, LOL but I am a drummer of many years and I am sick of ready "hahh but XYZ is faster". I find Dave Weckl the most musical producing the most beautiful drumming on the planet at the moment, the best and the least bulshiter on drums. For me, D Weckl has no equal. Arrogant ? Him ? Who cares !! Go Weckl!

Well, every good drummers have something to offer. I really like Dave Weckl playing (who doesn't?) but there is a lot a great drummers today. Instead of finding who is the best, I'm listening to many king of drummers.
Dave Weckl is intellectual on his drums, perfect technique and sound of course. If you go listen to Joey Jordison or Travis Barker, you won't hear so much dynamic and nuances. But, most people like to listen to punk, rock, metal... instead of jazz, latin, reagge, and so on.

Once at one of his clinics he asked me to play his drums, to make a personal soundcheck..he's not arrogant at all, but very kind and available! there are lots of very good drummers around with great technique, but only some of them have really something to say!dave over his technique has an incredible musical talk, sound, and style! and please stop with ridicolous comparisons!!

jazz drummers SHIT on most rock drummers.
rock is way easier to play
example. neil peart is awesome at rock but sucked shit at swing when he was doing his buddy rich tribute. all of you saying that travis barker is better, go fuck yourself and your little overrated punk rockers

Non credo che sia il migliore, ma Dave Weckl è un batterista con una straordinaria tecnica, il suo stile inconfondibile con i grandi musicisti come Michel Camilo e Chick Corea si è espresso al meglio. Mi diverte molto a guardare i suoi video ed ad ascoltare soprattutto in versione Jazz/Latin
