I would say objectively that this is one of the greatest performances/recordings of any musical genre in history... Weill should be honored that Reed approached his inspiration with so much artistry

Very much agree but he has so many good songs. he's a big influence on my own songs too.
I love the "Berlin" album. But on the same token, i love love the "White Light White Heat" album with the Velvet Underground.

as i watched, i became irritated with the liberties reed had taken with one of my favorite songs. but the dread he works up in the chorus won me over. a classic reinterpretation i think.

I didn't like this one by Lou....a great song but sounds like a micky take of someone doing a version of how Lou Reed would do it. butchered. sorry Lou.
