Fair enough, but i dont think it'd go too well if i wrote some blues about missing the dead musicians. 6 string down kinda well, wraps it up.
i stand by what i said though. its a shame the best musicians mostly lead a rough life and died young, thats all i meant.

Burnside was a legend late in coming. When I first heard his music I was amazed that he wasn't more well-known. For those that don't know, the North Mississippi also do a fine version of this song.

I don't think that it's been copied, I think that it's just influenced the "white musicians". In a way, being an influence to the younger generations and having their respect is more important than money or fame.
It feels like a part of the authenticity would be gone, if this would be played by a really rich, famous person. Dunno. But I think R.L. or any other musician for that matter is/was happy knowing that there are people who absolutely love and adore this stuff no matter what.

I've sat and watched, played with some real bluesmen/women and this is the example of the absolute best type of bluesmen to ever come along. He was stunningly wonderful. Thanks for posting this. It was a sad day when he passed. Oh It's all about the groove and dynamics. R.L. was a real blessing for my own playing. THE GROOVE is king.
