A few hundred thousands of volts, by the spark sizes. The current is usually no that big for Tesla coils.

Not sure what you mean by off key trumpets and ovddrdriven guitars, all the sound other than the drums and pipe organ is coming from the coils. THEY are playing those sounds, using the spark to move the air producing sound.
