With a big loop kite, it doesn't matter if you can de power in winds that strong. That was suicidal going out in winds that strong whatever your level of skill. That looked real to me.
Why he didn't let go, i dont know. If he was hooked in, he was fucked either way in winds that strong. Trying to detach when you are completely out of control is not easy and scary and i was not travelling anywhere near that speed. I hope it didn't all end in tears
