When did you crank the second EMD-567? E-units had TWO right? Each one powering two of three axles on one of the two A-1-A trucks. Unless it was repowered like the BN Chicago Commuter E-8's (which were repowered with one EMD 645 making them more or less equivalent to an SD-40)
I remember how awesome an E-unit with TWO 567's at speed sounded

That's what I thought. The new Z1R Korvette has a roots super charger... I guess that is not too unusual since GM is the parent company of EMD. Roots blowers were invented b4 the car, they were used in the 1889's for blast furnaces.

I love the blown 567's and 645's (worked on a lot tugs with them) but the Turbo's are the real muscle. I worked on a ship with 4- 3600hp 20-645-E7's That was nice, the power of 4 SD45's in one room (not to mention two 1200hp V-16 Cat D399 gen-sets). Blowers are cool and less hassle though, my Buick Regal has one!

get hired on a rail road. and they should eventually have open engineer slots. put in for it if you have enough senoirity. they should get you to a school. like my dad he works for the UP. they flew him out to utah.
