If it's an opera that's debatable, but this is a concert, and concert halls, unlike theatres, are not built specifically for opera singing without amplification, especially when it's in a country where opera is not a particularly dominant art, like here, Thailand, where even full scale opera productions need a mic hanging from the ceiling. I once saw Dame Kiri here and she didn't have a mic and I couldn't hear anything below mezzo forte, literally (none of her fault whatsoever)

Yes, I once saw a video recording of a production of Aida where there was a LONG close up of Radames singing Celeste Aida and he looked exactly, in his paper white face, bright red lips, and crisp clear eye lining, like Canio from Pagliacci.

i didn't say sumi can do korean singing (maybe she can but i haven't seen it yet. i doubt it though). i was saying babybabyblues must have been surprised because an oriental lady does a european style of singing very well.
