Neanderthal mans brow is much larger and the nasal cavitys are much wider as they had to survive through the ice age when air was much colder as the ice age ended we evolved into what we are now as we no longer have to store the air in these large nasal cavities to warm it before it transgresses to our lungs if neanderthal man didnt have these nostrils his lungs would freeze and he would die. we would not have survived the ice age if we were created in this form. sorry had to split my post
