| What an extremely nasty thing to say. By no stretch of the imagination could Jussi Bjorling be described as "one of the ugliest men in the world". Beauty is only skin deep. If making stupid remarks about someone's personal appearance is all you are capable of then you would be better off keeping your opinions to yourself - and you need to learn to spell and punctuate as well. |

| Apologies for a typing slip (clearly a slip and not an error of spelling - as I can spell, I just can't type too well). In any event, I do not think I was being nasty, simply objective. I am not the only one to suggest that despite his physical appearance and acting (have you seen him in La Boheme with Tebaldi?) he managed to create (with the voice) such a presence. "Beauty is only skin deep" is exactly what I meant. This is a wonderful voice and Bjorling a great artist. |

| Let me state that Jussi Bjoerling the favorite singer/tenor of my lifetime (85years). As much as I love him, and because many of the comments concern his face, I must comment tha I see a resemblance to Curley of "The Three Stooges." I don't consider this a put-down, as I consider Curley to be one of the greatest instinctive comics of all time, transending the Stooges. I don't consider Jussi Bjoerling to anything but handsome. To look like him and/or sing like him would be a great gift from God! |
