Some people seem to fail to realize that the reason most sub-watchers hate dubs isn't because it isn't in Japanese, it's because of one of two main things: 1) The voice-acting sucks and doesn't convey the emotions of the characters quite as well as the seiyuus (Japanese VAs) did, or 2) The dub companies cut out so many scenes/entire episodes of the anime when producing it that it becomes a mockery of the original series. Cardcaptor Sakura is a perfect example of the second point. Know your shit.

Isn't option number 2 kind of invalid today? I mean aside from 4kids are there really any comapny that actively rewrites the stories. I'm pretty sure that 90% of all anime that gets dubbed nowmore is uncut.

Not really. Granted, the editing isn't nearly as bad as it was back in the 90's (back when CCS was dubbed), but there are still great animes that have scenes cut out or edited; mostly in the case of shows that get played on Toonami or Jetix. Animes that are broadcasted towards older audiences generally do tend to be uncut, as do animes that are released directly to DVD. But we can't forget that dubbers tend to mistake animes for being geared towards children when they're not meant to be...
