I should also add that Paul Wilbur is an amazing vocalist and songwriter. This song is very powerful and one which every believer, messianic/christian, would be blessed to hear. Mr. Wilbur's love for Israel is very evident in this song and it gives every follower of Yeshua who loves this blessed nation of Israel and it's city of Jerusalem, a chance to bless this city and pray for it's peace through this song.

One final comment I should make is actually connected to what I said two posts down. I do understand that a large part of the gentile (christian) world does not support Israel (replacement theology) or they just don't really care about Israel even if they understand Israel is still important to God. That is wrong. I do agree that the Sabbath was never changed to sunday and I do agree with the practice of the law (not for salvation, however). And I believe Christianity should be more Jewish.

I am sorry if you feel that Jewish believers look down on Gentiles. We don't, just as Gentiles should not boast either. I go to Shabbat to a messianic synagogue, and half of the congregation is Gentile. We worship together as it was in the days of Messiah. Gentiles are the wild branch that has been grafted onto the tree. We are brothers and sisters in Y'shua. Shalom

Sorry if I misled you. Most Jewish people do in fact accept me (a gentile) and other gentile believers as equals in Yeshua. There is only an occasional time that a misunderstanding (what I like to call it) from a Jewish believer in regards to a gentile believer occurs. I guess it just seemed to me that this may have been one but I can clearly see that was my own misunderstanding so I must apologize for that.

As for the gentile believers, believe me, I fully understand the boasting so many have and the ignorance they have as to the eternal covenant God made with Israel. I always remind gentile believers of this and leave them with the scripture:
I will bless those that bless you (Israel) and curse those that curse you (Israel).

Cheryl - "Sunday Sabbath" is an impossibility. In Hebrew, the word for Saturday has always been "Shabbat" - Sabbath. There is no equivalent word for the secular "Saturday." Sunday is the first day of the week. There is nothing wrong at all with worshiping God on Sunday, but the Sabbath wasn't changed. That would mean that the day on which God rested from all His work switched. Shabbat was never meant to be burdensome or legalistic but rather a time of refreshing. Hope this helps. Shalom :)

And how did that happen anyway???!! Second I think that Sunday is the first day of the week. I think Jesus was raised the first day of the week. I attend service on the first day of the week cause that is when my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was risen! Plain and simple.

What a touching song, Maurice Sklar really makes that violin to speak. I celebrate the Hebrew People and I honestly think that if you consider yourself a disciple of Christ, you should obey his word and pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the salvation and restoration of all Israel. (Rom 11)
