This is one of 3 Level 5 TRACONs in the US in real world. The N90 consist of JFK LGA EWR ISP and Liberty. Level 5 is the hardest.

not only ILS, but all IFR approaches, including all kinds of VOR, GPS, NDB's and more than I can post here. JFK has a number of approaches to each runway, and there are eight runways counting the parallel appoaches. LGA and EWR are similar, and we have the dozens of little, but busy, airports in between the big guys. If JFK is on the ILS 13, we have to shut down TEB, and TEB often does almost as much business as the big boys.

By the way, all controllers took a mandatory 2% cut in pay last year, and another each year for the next few years. Additionally, they are denying the controllers the 2.3% annual cost of living raise, which everyone else in Government gets unless they are over the federal pay cap. This forces all senior controllers to retire.

The staffing levels are a fraction of what they were ten years ago, with few trainees in the pipeline to take up the slack. The FAA wages a war over issues like type of clothing and when you can eat lunch, and forgets that the issue is experienced controllers protecting your life. There is something like 3 million people in the air each day, the bulk of it in the USA, hanging their lives on the controllers ability to get the job done. Write your representative today.

Great job man! I wish we could get this kinda traffic at ZFW on a regular basis not just when were training on sweatbox...now I know how all you NY controllers over there know how to do every thing...lol keep it up maybe someday ill transfer up there..

Virtual Air Traffic Control Simulations. Its a community where flight simulator and aviation inthusists create air traffic control and flight plans, commonly using flight simulator 2002,2004, and X. They use a program called squackbox for air traffic control procedures. ZNY is where a friend of mine works.
