Well I would have to disagree with you. This was a great performance! If you are going to compare Sumi and Dessays performance then please critique on a knowldegable level! Natalie and Sumi are both great sopranos, however, every soprano doesn't sound the same! What determines if the note is executed properly is all in the placement! Natalie and Sumi are two totally different singers who have different techniques and there for the notes will not sound the same! A high "E" is a High "E"!

Magnificent!
Hitting those top notes shows that you have spent many years perfecting your craft.
I consider the; "Bell Song" as a benchmark.
I used to think that; L. Ponds did that aria the best. I now think that there is a new voice that gives a new voiice to that aria.
