There is no doubt that Louis was a father of R&R. His "jump" tunes were contemporaneous with Wynonie Harris, Joe Liggins, Big Joe Turner, and the other R&B pioneers. Today he is thought of mainly as a comedy act but there was a whole lot more to ol' Louis!
