I love them conceptually. How about a variation on the theme. I, a consumer, have an RFID reader. I can use it on any product out there. Wirelessly it retrieves from a database the corporate ghosts attached to any product I am contemplating buying.
I subscribe to it as a service and this way I can be sure that all of my products are as ethical ans can be.

while I do like the fact that this video brings out attention to the impact of our consumption/production of things, ipods (while I have many of my own problems with them) in fact help decrease material waste created in making CDs and storing them.

While I like the idea that this video is bringing attention to the impact of our consumption/production of commodities, ipods (an item with which I have my own problems) can effectively reduce material waste by neutralizing the number of hardcopy CDs and CD cases created to house music-assuming that their owners purchase music online
