| yep, and i can tell from a metal heads perspective, our knuckles are already worn out and bloody from cracking these Guitar Hero kid's skulls as it is for taking and killing our tunes. | I'm just going to drop a little of my two cents in here.. I am a teenager.. yes.. and I play guitar hero. However, I have played the actual guitar since I was 8, and I'd like to say I'm pretty darn good at it. I notice that for beginners at guitars, guitar hero can help work up the finger speed and possibly stretching.. As for those people who are addicted to it and prefer it over real guitar.. that's a pity.. it's a very beautiful instrument.. |

| not everyone in my generation play guitar hero. I happen to play a real guitar, keyboards, harmonica, trombone and I sing, and all of my friends (most of which are doing a BA hons. Degree in music with me) all either play an instrument or sing and have grown up loving the music of our parents AND modern music. I for one prefer the likes of Neil Young and Johnny Cash to modern music and I know a lot of other people my age who do too. |

| Ha, you say it like i'm 40 or something, I'm 20, and i play lefty-guitar and do vocals aswell. But i grew up different, I was born in the US but i'm from Puerto Rico. My first understanding of English was from the Classic Rock i heard through the radio. The reason why i dislike guitar hero is the fact that a lot of people buy it as a fad and a way to get into music like metal that normally isn't for the likes of them. Metal is an outsiders music, they're not. Growing up in the ghetto i was one. |

| haha, it's ok man, but yeah, metal heads say the same thing. If they actually wanted to delve into the metal/rock culture the right way, Guitar Hero would be the worst possible form of exposure to it. Going to guitar/music shops and record stores are lot more productive than playing a game that ruins a kids wrists. I got my first lefty guitar when i was 14 and i couldn't of been happier.I know not everyone is a budding musician or metal head but to me a form of respect to the music is important. |
