since that i'm a malay speaker, i could understand only a few words - like pemerintah (ruler), ke (to), kamu (you), saksi (witness), nabi (prophet), tuhan (god), pihak (party of people), penakluk (conqueror), sehingga (until), ganti (replace), dunia (world), tahun (year) waktu ini (this time), bilangan (numbers [e.g. of people]), kissa (story) - but i don't understand the rest. among all the filipino dialects, i think tausug is the closest to malay.
