Since the clips became so popular, we decided to put the best footage from all 3 days of the AirPower Over Hampton Roads 2006 airshow together.
You'll see the 30 foot long afterburner flames on Friday night, the hover after takeoff on Saturday and the high alpha display from Sunday. Bear in mind that this is NOT an actual demo as the team has not even formed yet. This is simply the pilot (Lt. Col Michael "Dozer" Shower) showing the audience just some of the things the aircraft is capable of.

The only jet i think can give a F-22 a run for its money is the F-15 no disrespect to other jets now if we are talking about A.C.M's or a guns engagement its a different story i think the MIG-29 in a close range engagement is the most deadly aircraft in the world if it has enough fuel to fight :)

Basically, the russians wanted knew of the f-15 groundings and knew that Raptors were going to fill the gap during the f-15 retrofits in alaska. So the russians sent their bears to get an upclose and perhaps try to shoot some of their own vintage radar signals at it to see what kind of radar feedbacks they can get since our raptors have stealth.

which would win a F22, Su 47 or a Eurofighter Typhoon?. I don't know that much about planes, however i think the F22 has a higher top speed of over 2.0 mach and the F22 has a better subsonic turn rate. The Typhoon has a better supersonic turn rate and is cheaper. Both accelerate at around the same speed and both can acheive super cruise. And i know nothing about that Su 47 thing.

su 47 is a test plane and will never have weapons or go into production. Euro may win in close dog fight but the f22 is desighned to shoot planes down from long range

belbo is pretty much exactly on.. if the planes start at like 100 NM, then the F22 no doubt... if a dogfight though, it'd be pretty close, but my bet would definitely be on the F22... haha

If it weren't for the stealth the F-22 is a sittin duck. Man the typhoon and the any of the Su series could fly circles around the F-22. The F-22 may be fast but that hurts it at close range. It would take a UAV to turn very tight at 10+ G's its impossible for a human to take those g forces.

Both are very good planes regardless of which would win. Even if the typhoon is better at close range the f 22 is still more usefull in a real war stituation because of its stealth.

I said take the stealth away from th f-22 and the Su-47 will fly circles aroun it. It is way more manuverable and can fly faster than a Raptor. And for the G forces, Moga can handle 10.5 but only for a few seconds without G-lock. With the stealth the F-22 is the best and most expensive plane in the world.

su-47??? youre kidding right? top speed is limited to mach 1.6 and is as stealthy as a typhoon, which is to say nowhere near as stealthy as a raptor. raptor also is way faster at mach 2.42
forward swept wings is not ideal for high speed and is why you almost never see this design in the real world.

yall play to much damn ace combat... the f22a is a perfectly fine plane it is not too fast its not a sitting duck... if it had a HUGE disadvantage... the US would not use it...
in a dogfight it has little to do with which type of aircraft you are using, pilot skill and experience is most important... and i know most of us have not piloted any of these jets
