the cops weren't isolating him because he was an Iranian American (some people accuse them of being racist). They did this to him because he refused to show ID. How are they supposed to know whether or not he attends UCLA? If you refuse to show your ID, it is a little suspicious. I think the cops were right in manhandling him. I think that they could've escorted him out without the use of a taser though.
