It is sad to see Muslim's Indians and Pakistanis slugging it out on the net. Although I'm an Indian Muslim, however I feel that Allama Iqbal, wrote inspired poetry. And his vision of an Islamic society was about success in both duniya and aakhirah, unlike the defeatist sufi thought.Its true he was influenced by western thought,but he wanted muslims to imbibe the vigour and inquisitiveness associated with the western mind.

As an Indian Muslim,I would be happy to see both India and Pakistan as confident and successful nations, at peace with their past and looking forward to future. It is sad that Muslims of Hindustan are divided into three national components, but that is how it is, and we should make the best of it. India & Pakistan need a Grand Reconciliation, and Indian Muslims could prove to be that bridge. Possibly that is a role they may play someday!

We must fulfill our treaties!Partition was such a treaty that we must uphold as muslims,and that includes you.Contrary to what you say,we the Muslims in a Hindu dominated India keep the faith of Islam alive.We are no cowards,but like I said earlier,must respect the treaty of Partition. Don't forget the ulamaduring partition,opposed the tehreeke Pakistan.Also would you give this advice to Pakistanis settled abroad?Anyways good luck.But you don't have to abuse Indian Musims, they owe you nothing!

Regarding Iqbal: at theend of Jawab, Allah offers Muslims, a pen and a tablet. It could easily have been a sword, but it is a pen. Being a man of ideas, Iqbal wanted muslims to win the battle of ideas, and the world would recognize the superiority of its message.He wanted a reinvigoration of the muslim world away from its statism and inwardness.physical conquests would be nothing if muslims could not rule the lands they had!I would be happy to see Pakistan prove Iqbal right! The word "us" is subjective. You define Indians as "us", and that is your opinion. I consider "us" to be Muslims.
